Experience: Intermediate Hand Building Level
Create a functional piece of art to last a lifetime by joining us for an immersive workshop series in February. During this month-long workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn the intricate art of hand-building your very own ceramic teapot. From the essential techniques of wedging and under glazing to the creative processes of molding and design, this intermediate workshop will elevate your hand-building skills to the next level. While previous hand-building clay experience is preferred and highly recommended, attending a previous Piante ceramic workshop will also suffice. To make the most of this workshop, all attendees are requested to come prepared with a design already drawn or prepared. Rest assured, you can expect to receive some design prep work in advance to ensure you are well-prepared for the artistic journey that awaits you.
Please note that this workshop requires you to get dirty, so expect messy hands, have trimmed nails, and wear clothing that you don't mind getting a little creative splatter onto. Once complete, your piece will be sent off to the kiln and will be available to be picked up 3-4 weeks after the workshop.
Dates: Feb 20, 27 & March 5 (please ensure you can commit to all 3 classes before registering)
Price: $195 / Person
