LANDSCAPE + GARDEN DESIGN services

STEP 1: The Discovery

At PIANTE DESIGN, we begin our design process by conducting an initial consultation wherein our garden designer meets with you. This crucial step is provided to you at no cost and includes a site visit for locations situated within a 10-mile radius of our retail shop in downtown Winter Park. It is worth noting that locations exceeding this distance will incur a one-time fee starting at $100, which will vary based on the client's specific location. The site visit typically lasts for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

Throughout the consultation, our team engages in in-depth discussions to gain a thorough understanding of the project's goals, desired design elements, and budgetary considerations. Following this initial meeting, we provide you with a comprehensive summary of the discussion, detailing design expenses and a realistic design timeline. If the client determines that we are the right fit for their requirements, we proceed with the subsequent stages of the design process.

STEP 2: The Concept Design & Development

Once the design contract is accepted and signed, we embark on the conceptual design and development process, which plays a vital role in the overall project.

  • Our first step is creating a mood board that captures the project's vision and incorporates captivating visuals and a planting palette.

  • Upon approval of the mood board, we proceed to craft a comprehensive conceptual master plan. This plan includes a master plan, elevation sketches, and other essential visuals and drawings that effectively communicate the design narrative.

  • To ensure your satisfaction, we offer one revision after presenting the initial concept. However, any subsequent changes or revisions will incur additional design fees.

  • Once the concept receives approval, we transition to the final design development phase. Here, we refine the design and calculate the installation cost estimate.

The duration of this comprehensive phase typically spans 2-4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the client's project and our garden design team's project schedule.

Step 3: The InstallATION

Once we get the green light on the concept design and project cost, we'll be ready to turn your dream garden into a reality!

Before we begin with the installation process, we'll provide you with a detailed brochure and contract outlining everything from the scope of the installation to the timeline and cost involved. Once the contract has been reviewed and signed, we'll be all set to schedule your installation.

As a boutique design studio, our primary focus is on delivering exceptional work to our clients. To achieve this, our Creative Director, Gary, takes personal responsibility for overseeing the installation process. He works closely with our skilled crew to ensure that every aspect of your bespoke garden is handled with utmost care and attention to detail. Rest assured, the design integrity of your project is maintained at every step. In addition, we have established collaborations with numerous trusted outside contractors. This allows us to handle any specific requirements your project may have, and we take care of all the necessary coordination to ensure a seamless and efficient process.

The timeline for the installation process depends on various factors such as obtaining HOA approval (if needed), aligning subcontractor schedules, sourcing and availability of materials (both standard and custom), as well as our existing installation projects schedule. Rest assured, we'll manage all these aspects efficiently, ensuring a smooth and timely installation for you.

“To understand the manner in which space is utilised in the garden, it is important to appreciate that the garden is composed of a series of overlapping or interlocking views.”

— Robert Ketchell
